Inserted in the middle of the Historic Centre of Porto, in Rua do Rosario, this project is a restoration and conversion of an old mansion belonging to the family Leite Castro and the construction of a new volume. It is composed by two buildings, a pre-existing which preserves the resistant structure and the original with tiled façade, and a new volume projected in the backyard with five floors. The connection of these two volumes takes place through a bridge at the level of the two lower floors.
Its location, next to Miguel Bombarda street, known as the "Block of Art" focuses some of the most prestigious contemporary art galleries in the city. Result of this proximity the hotel hosts several art exhibitions in the different public spaces. The concept for indoor environments is precisely this proximity to major structures related to art and culture. Materials used: marble, granite and wood, are noble and consolidate the sobriety of architectural intervention. The hotel has 89 accommodation units, 4 conference rooms and events, restaurant, bar and green areas, has a rating of 4 stars. The total construction area is 4957.05 m2.
